| Hellooooooooooo............... Bit of an update: Got the Delortos that were on it originally yesturday (man I love my Saturday job) so I spent abit of time yesturday setting them up and getting my head round how they work, what does what and how to fine tune them I do have to make a new choke bar as the throttle cable gets in the way I'm fitting them in a moment, so................. should be running today (hopefully) I'll keep you posted | |

| Okay, actually getting stuck into it, covered in petrol (Mmmm) but still, it's not as bad as I thought it would be, getting some cleaning done aswell, but there are sooooo many friggin' wires under there, it's hard to know what goes where without routing the whole thing, if I can get it running (won't be today, looking at it) then it may turn into a whole under bonnet re-build, clean, paint and tidy everything up, so......... Yeah, back to work | |

| I'll get pics up as soon as I can I have taken off the inlet manifold and the fuel rail, and whacked the carbs on it just need to sort out the fueling I also need to yoink some shorter bolts as the original ones are heeeeeooooouuugge I'd just like to thank my scrawny arms for being able to fit behind the inlet manifold to undo the bolts there are some advantages to having arms like sparrows legs, although, I did manage to get a few cuts, and some sort of flying insect stung me, which I wasn't happy about but I'll live As the inlet manifold is at the back, I'm ever so tempted to raise the bonnet, might get abit more cold air in, not that I would say it's going to be hot or anything but I can imagine air circualtion around the carbs will be abit like Wardys arm pit Anyway, I'll probably get on with it again next weekend, going to give it a clean under the bonnet as it looks awful, but seems to clean up easily | |

don't forget to reg the fuel pressure down or you'll be breaking seals.
Did you ever get around the key / Ecu issue? | |

| Yeah, I just kept having to fill the resiviors then cutting off the fuel supply whilst I was starting it as it very nearlt flooded, but..........set it on fire today, it's okay, it was just the insulation crap that caught fire, shit myself though The key/ecu problems were from the original inlet manifold, the ecu shuts down, so I have bypassed all the electrical crap by whacking the carbs on instead, I'll have a read into looms etc.. find out what I need and what I don't then make my own Tom, you'll have to come up and see it, or I might upload pics next time I'm at yours Marc, they are only 40s Evey, awesomes There is 1/4 of a tank of fuel still in it so really the cost of the project has just gone down by £10 safe to say, I burnt that £10 today though Oh, I probably should mention, I'm on the look out for a unit to work on the car now, as it pretty much starts, just need to sort out some timing and fuel issues, but fuck me they sound sweeeeeeeeeeeet! pop, pop, pop, bang, pop, pop, bang ........................ cream! WIN! | |
