| I've been looking into oils and after a bit of reading I've decided to go for a fully sythentic 5w40. That being a Millers CFS 5w40 http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-60219-millers-oils-cfs-5w-40-competition-full-synthetic-engine-oil.aspx After all the money I've thrown at the engine I thought I better get something decent for it. With Opie oils extra 15% off I didn't think it was a bad deal. Got 6 litres of it (some spare for a top up if needed) The problem I found with 5w30 is that it broke down quite easy when giving it some stick, many times I've checked it after a good drive and its looked like piss. The Millers I've gone for should be good for operating around 125°C with max temps to 150°C. But with keeping the 5w it should have good cold start too. Seemed like the best choice for what I wanted I CANNOT wait till the 31st now! | |

| Another piece to the engine build... I have had a look into oil and have decided to go for a Millers CFS 5w40 Fully Sythethic oil. I found 5w30 not to be quite up to what I wanted. I reach high temps when driving hard. I guess oil is often overlooked and what I've spent on my rebuild recently I didn't want to skimp on the one thing keeping my engine lubricated. Got an extra 15% off too. I'd recommend Opie Oils for anyone who is looking for a good oil with an excellent service. | |
